Who am I?
I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist MBACP(Accred). My special interest is in couple therapy, transitions and life threatening conditions.
My background
- NHS Nursing (RGN 1982) and Midwifery (RM 1984).
- MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Surrey University (1997)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Couples Psychotherapy from Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, London
- Certificate in Psychosexual Studies (TCCR) I have further training with families and group therapy
- Accredited member of the British Association of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Supervisors (BAPPS) and have experience supervising diploma students as well as qualified counsellors.
My counselling experience includes working for We Hear You, a local Cancer charity , The Harbour, Bristol specialising in life threatening conditions, and end of life , Mental health charity; MIND, the NHS, Wessex Counselling Service.
